Mark Cassidy, a lifelong resident of St. Albert and a dedicated community member, is running for city councillor in the upcoming municipal elections. Having lived in St. Albert for over 60 years and raised his blended family in this vibrant city, Mark understands the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and engagement among families.
With over 32 years of experience as a successful realtor, Mark has comprehensive insights into the local housing market and the needs of families. Approximately 30 years ago, he developed two duplexes in West Braeside and 18 dwellings of duplexes and triplexes in mature Lacombe Park—projects designed to blend seamlessly into the single-family neighborhoods.
These developments reflect Mark's commitment to creating inclusive and affordable housing solutions that respect and enhance St Albert's community character.
In addition to his professional background, Mark also managed a local golf course. His work ethic, demonstrated by years of dedication from sunup to sundown, has equipped him with the skills necessary to serve the community full-time as a councillor.
Now that he is retired, he is fully prepared to commit the time and energy necessary to the betterment of St. Albert.

In St. Albert, our cultural heritage is deeply intertwined with the legacy of Father Albert Lacombe (1827–1916), a pioneering Oblate missionary and peacemaker.
The new St. Albert naming policy allows anyone across Canada to propose name changes with just 50 signatures, threatening our rich heritage. I will fiercely protect and preserve our community's legacy!
